Remove Line Breaks
Use the line break removal tool to remove line breaks from text. You can also remove double spaces, empty lines, spaces and tab characters at the beginning of paragraphs, and hyphenation. To use all the functions of the tool, click on the Settings button.

Paste your text into the left field and turn messy line breaks into clean paragraphs. The tool joins lines, fixes spacing, and prepares text copied from PDFs, emails, or OCR. You decide how the cleanup works using Settings. Nothing is rewritten. Words and punctuation stay the same unless you choose an option that changes whitespace or hyphenation.
- Choose an option that matches your input: paragraphs begin with double spaces, with a single space, with a Tab, or with a capital. Pick remove all line breaks to merge everything into continuous paragraphs, or choose empty lines between paragraphs to separate blocks clearly.
- Use only additional functions when you want to keep line breaks and apply cleanup only. Available extras include removing double spaces, removing empty lines, trimming spaces and Tabs at the start of paragraphs, and removing hyphenation split across lines.
- Click Remove line breaks to apply your choices. The cleaned result appears in the right field. Use Copy result to move it into your editor or Clear all to start over.
- For best results, process coherent sections rather than isolated fragments. If your text is very long, split it by chapters or headings so paragraph detection works accurately.
- When you copy from PDFs, enable remove hyphenation to join words that were broken at the end of lines. When you import from email or chat logs, remove empty lines to tighten spacing. If your source uses indents made of spaces or Tabs, select the matching paragraph begins option.
- The tool is safe for code snippets and tables when you select use only additional functions. This keeps line structure intact while trimming leading spaces or extra blank lines.
- You can run the tool multiple times with different settings. Start conservative, check the output, then apply extra cleanup if needed.
